Interdisciplinary and referral based approach

We also recognise the need to co-operatively work with GPs, chiropractors, osteopaths, physiotherapists, psychotherapists, nutritionists, or other health practitioners in order to get the desired outcome for our clients as some health challenges require an interdisciplinary approach due to the nature of the presenting condition.  For example, a back pain condition may need physical adjustment of the spine by a chiropractor but if the related muscles are also over tight and aren't being released with detailed work done by an appropriately trained massage therapist then eventually these untreated muscles will physically pull the spine out of alignment again.  We acknowledge that the inverse scenario could also be the cause of a back pain issue i.e. the relevant over tight muscles around the spine are being treated but because the bones in the spine are physical out of alignment they would still need attention from a chiropractor to complete the work satisfactorily.  We are keen to work co-operatively with other health professionals (if appropriate) in order to make sure that our clients receive the treatment that is most efficient and effective for them.
